AbusE - Residential TreatMenT Program
Our
16 bed, Residential Treatment Program for adult Spanish
speaking males is located at 1949 N. Humboldt Blvd.
in Chicago. Due to the severity of the individual's
addiction from both a medical and psychosocial perspective,
a multi-faceted, highly structured, supportive, and
culturally sensitive, program is provided.
An
individualized recovery program is developed to help
the patient achieve a greater understanding of his
addiction and health needs.
Upon
intake, each client completes a medical assessment,
psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring if
necessary. Education seminars regarding the medical
aspects of the disease process, HIV/AIDS, STDs and
TB awareness and prevention strategies are included.
Balanced meals planned by a dietician who also provides
education on proper nutrition and its importance.
All
counseling services, which take place in a milieu
setting, consist of group, individual, and family
therapy, educational lectures, individualized treatment
planning, recreational therapy, vocational counseling,
on-site 12-step self-help recovery groups, and Aftercare
services.
