Substance AbusE - Residential TreatMenT Program

Our 16 bed, Residential Treatment Program for adult Spanish speaking males is located at 1949 N. Humboldt Blvd. in Chicago. Due to the severity of the individual's addiction from both a medical and psychosocial perspective, a multi-faceted, highly structured, supportive, and culturally sensitive, program is provided.

An individualized recovery program is developed to help the patient achieve a greater understanding of his addiction and health needs.

Upon intake, each client completes a medical assessment, psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring if necessary. Education seminars regarding the medical aspects of the disease process, HIV/AIDS, STDs and TB awareness and prevention strategies are included. Balanced meals planned by a dietician who also provides education on proper nutrition and its importance.

All counseling services, which take place in a milieu setting, consist of group, individual, and family therapy, educational lectures, individualized treatment planning, recreational therapy, vocational counseling, on-site 12-step self-help recovery groups, and Aftercare services.
