Individuals who are interested in admission to one of our treatment programs meet with an Intake Clinician, who gathers pertinent demographic, personal, and financial information and then completes a comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessment.

The clinician utilizes the ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) dimensions and the DSM-IV criteria to determine a substance abuse diagnosis, the severity of the problem(s), and the appropriate level of treatment If the individual meets the criteria for immediate admission, he/she is assigned to the least restrictive level of care and to a primary clinician.
