Residential Treatment

Residence

Our sixteen-bed residential treatment program offers a supportive, highly structured, and culturally sensitive recovery environment for adult Spanish-speaking males. This program is equipped to treat those individuals facing the most severe addictions.

Treatment at the residence focuses not just on the symptoms of addiction, but on participants’ overall health and well-being. Participants receive group, individual, and family therapy; educational lectures; recreational therapy; vocational counseling; on-site 12-step self-help recovery groups; and aftercare services. Upon intake, each participant also completes a medical assessment and psychiatric evaluation in order to determine the level of care needed. New residents then work with staff to develop an individualized recovery program designed to help them achieve a greater understanding of their addiction and health needs.

Treatment is supplemented with a variety of on- and off-site recreational opportunities and with training in life skills such as budgeting and conflict resolution. Residents receive balanced meals planned by a dietician who also provides education on proper nutrition and its importance.

Education seminars regarding the medical aspects of the disease process, HIV/AIDS, STDs and TB awareness and prevention strategies are also provided. The residence reserves two beds for HIV-positive participants.
